Day of Dead Yoga & Culture Retreat

San Miguel de Allende, Mexico

October 28 – November 4, 2025

8 days of rooftop yoga, delicious food, and exploring the magic of Conde Nast Traveler‘s #1 Travel Destination in the World.

Join Tener for her third retreat in San Miguel de Allende during the week of Día de Muertos. Tener and her family lived in SMA for 2 years, and she is excited to share her knowledge and love of this enchanting city with you. From rooftop yoga to exploring the vibrant markets, indulging in authentic cuisine and engaging with the local community, this trip will be jam packed with restoration, culture, and new adventures.

“Life is about the adventures you take and the memories you make. So travel often and live life with open eyes and an open heart.” – Katie Grissom

We’ll begin each day with yoga on the roof of our luxury hacienda overlooking the vibrant colors of this UNESCO World Heritage city. Our afternoons will include; captivating walking tours led by local guides to artisanal markets, natural hot springs, restorative yoga and more. Throughout the trip we will indulge in the local culinary scene and experience all the flavors in this enchanting city.

This retreat takes place over Mexico’s Annual Day of the Dead festival,  Día de Muertos. It is a lively, life-affirming holiday where Mexicans make altars to commemorate loved ones who have passed away. We will participate in the festivities by building our own alter and ceremonial headdresses, and attending the city’s annual Catrina Parade. Get ready for face painting, traditional song and dance, and remembering all those who have come before us.

On retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to both challenge and center yourself…and will be reminded all along the way, that scheduled activities are 100% optional. Your wisdom to know what YOU really need is highly respected & encouraged. This retreat is suitable for those with an average fitness level.

Some Things You Should Know

Please note that this schedule is subject to change…allow for curiosity & surprises!

Tener this was such an amazing trip! The Día de Muertos experience was really special. All the history, workshops, the parade and the altar sharing were all unexpectedly more awesome than I could've imagined. I so value how thoughtful your planning is to curate and create these retreats. Thank you!

I cannot thank you enough for this time together - you have an inate way of bringing people together and creating the space for them to explore just what they may need at this moment. You are a true gift to me and I love to soak all your goodness in the world like a sponge. Keep using that soft, magical voice of yours to spread love.

Hayley

You are one of my favorite yoga teachers. Wise, skilled, authentic, committed, aware, inclusive, fun, beautiful, radiant, compassionate and generous. I could go on… All of your classes create the spaciousness to easily “let go” and allow our inner guidance to surface. Thank you!
