Pear-a-palooza Sauce
Here at our purple house, pears are dropping faster than I can gather them up. Batch after batch of pear sauce simmers on my stove, filling the house with autumn’s sweetest perfume. On the phone this week, Ellis told me that the smell of pears just reminds him of WORK. (collecting, chopping, stirring) 🤣—Not this year, Buddy, since you’re off at school!

Ingredients
- 8-10 pears, cored, and cut into 1-inch pieces (Some like to peel their pears first. Not me!)
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
