San Miguel de Allende, Mexico
October 29 – November 4, 2024
7 days of rooftop yoga, delicious food, and exploring the magic of Conde Nast Traveler‘s #1 Travel Destination in the World.
Join Tener for her second retreat in San Miguel de Allende during the week of Día de los Muertos. Tener and her family lived in SMA for 2 years, and she is excited to share her knowledge and love of this enchanting city with you. From rooftop yoga to exploring the vibrant markets, indulging in authentic cuisine and engaging with the local community, this trip will be jam packed with restoration, culture, and new adventures.
“Life is about the adventures you take and the memories you make. So travel often and live life with open eyes and an open heart.” – Katie Grissom
We’ll begin each day with yoga on the roof of our boutique hotel overlooking the vibrant colors of this UNESCO World Heritage city. Our afternoons will include; captivating walking tours led by local guides to artisanal markets, botanical gardens, restorative hot springs and more. Throughout the trip we will indulge in the local culinary scene, and experience all the flavors in this enchanting city.
This retreat takes place over Mexico’s Annual Day of the Dead festival, Día de los Muertos. It is a lively, life-affirming holiday where Mexicans make altars to commemorate loved ones who have passed away. We will participate in the festivities by building altars and ceremonial headdresses of our own, and attending the city’s annual parade. Get ready for face painting, traditional song and dance, and remember all those who have come before us.
On retreat, you’ll have the opportunity to both challenge and center yourself…and will be reminded all along the way, that scheduled activities are 100% optional. Your wisdom to know what YOU really need is highly respected & encouraged. All yogi levels are welcome.
