Perfectly Imperfect You

By October 26, 2022No Comments

“Be who you are and say what you feel, because those who mind don’t matter and those who matter don’t mind.” ~Dr. Seuss

I’m beaming in here on a mission!

A mission to encourage you to embrace all of your perfectly imperfect qualities…and take them out into the sunlight. Especially the traits you normally hide. Those are the parts that make YOU a unique and precious gift to this world.

Revealing our full selves is vulnerable, BRAVE work and the rewards are innumerable!

When we drop our masks and let ourselves be seen, we give others permission to do the same. Freedom, connection, and a sense of belonging are cultivated in this shared space. And we all need a sense of belonging…first to ourselves…and then to one or more people that love us for the messy, beautiful, unique concoction that we are. Our full essence.

I can’t say I’ve mastered this skill, but I wake up each morning and vow to reveal more of my true self in each moment and interaction. And I’m passionate about creating communities and spaces where authenticity, acceptance, compassion, and connection are core values.

So, who do you let see you as you really are?

Who are your people?…the ones that embrace all of you?

Maybe an answer comes to mind immediately. If so, be grateful!

Reach out to those you feel safe with and let them know. Connect with them…whether you share a passion for collecting thimbles, writing music, or growing orchids.

I’m collecting authentic, health-inspired women that don’t take themselves too seriously…women who are drawn to inner and outer exploration and self-care through yoga, travel, deep conversation, and self-inquiry…or are curious about these things.

Whether on the yoga mat from home or on retreat, I welcome you to join me/us.

I welcome messy hair and messy emotions. Moments of joy and struggle, laughter and tears. I welcome the full challenging, chaotic, beautiful, fantastic journey that life delivers each of us. And I welcome all the parts of YOU.

love,

Tener

ps. the photo above is a snapshot of my more playful self…to balance out the body geek, contemplative parts you may be more familiar with. If you’ve been on retreat with me, you’ve certainly met this side, but for those that haven’t, I thought I’d bring her out of the closet. (Be grateful I don’t know how to add sound to that picture.) xo
